It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the 2023-24 school year.  Our theme for this year is Building Character !

Maya Angelou says that “if you don’t like something, change it.  If you can’t change it, change your attitude.”  At Copeland Academy, we are embarking on changing each student.  Our motto is a New Start to a New You.  This will be different for most of you but will be a rewarding experience for all.  We are committed to providing students with tools that will help with their social and emotional needs, while providing a rigorous instructional component for students.

I am excited for the opportunity to lead a great group of faculty and staff as well as working with each of you to help your child transition back to their home school.  Arnold Bennett states, “Any change, even change for the better, is always accompanied by drawbacks and discomforts.”  

I am looking forward to collaborating with you this school year as I work to establish relationships with each parent, student and community partners.
