Parents of current 6th grade students - please click on the link below for information regarding immunizations required before your student can begin their 7th grade school year. Students entering 7th grade are REQUIRED to have one dose (or booster) of the Tdap vaccine. The Tdap vaccine protects children from tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis (also known as whooping cough).
7th Grade students will not be able to begin school in August 2025 without showing proof of receiving the Tdap vaccine or a valid exemption to the school nurse. Proof of receiving the Tdap is considered to be a valid SC Certificate of Immunization Record. Documentation of the Tdap vaccine or a valid exemption must be submitted before your child can start 7th grade.
